GDC Orthodontics Plasma coated black finish cutters are made of high-quality metal, which provides maximum corrosion resistance, appropriate hardness as well as required elasticity in the handles.The black surface not only prevents reflection of OT light but also guarantees an optimal contrast in the environment during treatment.These cutters have slim beaks or tips which are made of tungsten carbide for better access and hold wires.

Direction to use :- 

Preparation:

• Ensure that the GDC Orthodontics Black Line Cutter is clean and properly sterilized before use. Follow standard dental instrument sterilization protocols to ensure patient safety and infection control.

Identify the Wire:

• Identify the orthodontic wire or component that needs to be cut. Ensure that the area is accessible and that you have a clear view.

Proper Positioning:

• Hold the orthodontic wire cutter with a comfortable grip. Ensure that the cutter’s blades are aligned with the part of the wire you intend to cut.

Cutting Process:

• Gently place the blades of the cutter around the wire at the desired cutting point. Make sure the wire is properly positioned between the cutting blades.

Controlled Force:

• Apply controlled and even force to the handles of the cutter to close the blades and cut through the wire. Avoid using excessive force, as this can lead to an uneven cut or damage to the cutter.

Clean Cut:

• The goal is to achieve a clean and precise cut. If the wire is not cut completely, release the pressure on the handles and reposition the cutter before making another attempt.

Finishing:

• After cutting, use orthodontic pliers or other appropriate instruments to ensure that the cut end of the wire is smooth and does not pose any discomfort or risk to the patient’s oral tissues.

Sterilization and Maintenance:

• After each use, clean the cutter thoroughly to remove any debris or wire fragments. Sterilize the cutter according to standard dental instrument sterilization procedures before using it again.
