Direction to use :-
- Preparation: Ensure that your dental workstation is clean and organized. Make sure the scissors have been properly sterilized according to the recommended guidelines to maintain asepsis.
- Familiarize Yourself with the Scissors: Hold the Castroviejo Scissors by the finger rings in a comfortable grip. Take a moment to become familiar with the instrument’s design, including the location of the blades and the action of the handles.
- Patient Preparation: Prepare the patient for the procedure, ensuring proper anesthesia and a sterile surgical field.
- Positioning: Position yourself and the patient appropriately to have a clear view and access to the area where the scissors will be used.
- Cutting Technique: Hold the Castroviejo Scissors with a firm grip, placing your fingers in the finger rings. Identify the tissue or suture that needs to be cut.
- Tissue Cutting: Gently close the handles of the scissors, bringing the sharp blades together. Apply controlled pressure to cut through the tissue or suture. Take care to make precise and clean cuts, avoiding unnecessary trauma to the surrounding tissues.
