Direction to use :-

• Ensure proper infection control measures, including hand hygiene and the use of personal protective equipment.
• Identify the orthodontic band that needs to be removed from the patient’s premolar or molar.
• Position the patient comfortably and explain the procedure to them to alleviate any anxiety.
• Hold the plier in your dominant hand and use your non-dominant hand to retract the patient’s cheek and isolate the tooth with the orthodontic band.
• Carefully insert the plier’s beak tips between the orthodontic band and the tooth surface, ensuring a secure grip on the band.
• Apply gentle and controlled pressure to squeeze the plier’s handles together. This action should gradually loosen the band from the tooth.
• Continue squeezing the handles until the orthodontic band is fully removed. Ensure that the removal process is as smooth and atraumatic as possible.
• Inspect the tooth and surrounding areas for any residual adhesive or debris. Clean and polish the tooth if necessary.
