The GDC Cement Spatula  (CS4) is a dental instrument commonly used in restorative dentistry procedures. It is specifically designed for mixing and manipulating dental cement materials, such as dental cement and dental luting agents, during various dental treatments.The CS4 Cement Spatula is typically made of high-quality stainless steel, which ensures durability, corrosion resistance, and ease of sterilization. It features a thin, flat, and flexible blade at one end, which is used for mixing cement materials on a mixing pad or glass slab. The blade is usually about 1.5 to 2 centimeters wide and has a slight curve to facilitate the mixing process

Direction to use :- 

• Prepare the Work Area: Ensure that your dental workstation is clean and organized. Set up a mixing pad or a glass slab to serve as a mixing surface for the dental cement.
• Sterilization: Prior to use, make sure the spatula has been properly sterilized according to the recommended guidelines to maintain asepsis.
• Cement Mixing: Take the CS4 Cement Spatula and hold it by the handle in a comfortable grip. Place the appropriate amounts of the cement powder and liquid components onto the mixing pad or glass slab according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
• Mixing Technique: Use the flat, flexible blade of the CS4 Cement Spatula to blend the powder and liquid components together. Scrape the spatula across the surface, folding the mixture onto itself. Continue this scraping and folding motion until the cement achieves a homogenous consistency, ensuring thorough mixing without incorporating excessive air bubbles.
• Cement Application: Once the cement is properly mixed, you can use the CS4 Cement Spatula for precise application onto the tooth structure or dental restoration. Dip the flat blade of the spatula into the mixed cement and carefully spread it onto the designated area using controlled and even movements. Take care to apply the cement according to the specific requirements of the dental procedure you are performing.
• Clean and Maintenance: After use, thoroughly clean the CS4 Cement Spatula using appropriate cleaning agents and techniques. Ensure that all residue is removed from the spatula. Properly sterilize the spatula again before storing it for future use.
