The GDC Extraction Forceps Upper Roots – 41 Standard (FX41S) are specifically designed dental instruments used for the extraction of upper root teeth. These forceps are made from high-quality stainless steel, ensuring durability and resistance to corrosion.The FX41S forceps have a slim and tapered beak design, allowing for easy access and maneuverability in the oral cavity. The beaks are also serrated to provide a secure grip on the tooth, reducing the risk of slippage during the extraction process.They can effectively grasp and extract the tooth from the socket while minimizing trauma to the surrounding tissues.

Direction to use :- 

• Prepare the patient: Ensure the patient is comfortably seated in the dental chair and properly positioned for the extraction procedure.
• Administer local anesthesia: Use the appropriate anesthetic technique to numb the area surrounding the tooth that requires extraction.
• Select and inspect the forceps: Choose the FX41S forceps specifically designed for upper root extractions. Before use, inspect the forceps for any damage or defects.
• Grasp the tooth: Hold the forceps in your dominant hand with a firm grip, positioning the beaks around the crown of the tooth. Ensure a secure grip while avoiding excessive force.
• Apply controlled pressure: Begin applying gentle pressure on the tooth using the forceps, directing the force towards the root of the tooth. Use a rocking motion to loosen the tooth from its socket.
• Increase extraction force: Gradually increase the force applied to the tooth while maintaining control and stability. Apply consistent and controlled force to extract the tooth from the socket.
• Remove the tooth: Once the tooth is sufficiently loosened, lift and remove it from the socket using the forceps. Ensure a steady grip to prevent any accidental damage or displacement.
• Inspect and clean: Examine the extracted tooth to ensure it is intact and free from any fragments. If necessary, clean the extraction socket with an appropriate irrigating solution.
• Provide post-extraction care: Offer post-extraction instructions to the patient, including guidelines on oral hygiene and potential discomfort management. Schedule a follow-up appointment if necessary.
