Direction to use :-

• Patient Preparation: Ensure the patient is comfortably seated and informed about the procedure. Consider using local anesthesia if necessary.
• Instrument Inspection: Prior to use, inspect the scalers for any damage or defects. Ensure they are properly sterilized following standard infection control protocols.
• Positioning: Position yourself comfortably and adjust the patient’s head to achieve clear visibility and access to the targeted tooth surfaces.
• Select Appropriate Scaler: Choose the GDC Sickle Scalers Towner – Jacquette #6 (Su15/30) appropriate for the tooth surfaces you intend to scale.
• Grip Adjustment: Hold the scaler in a modified pen or pen grasp, ensuring a comfortable grip that allows for precise control during scaling.
• Supragingival Scaling: Place the sickle-shaped tip of the scaler on the supragingival calculus or plaque deposit, angling it at approximately 70-80 degrees to the tooth surface.
