Direction to use :-

• Ensure that the GDC Moon’s Probe P13M is clean and sterilized before use. Follow the recommended sterilization guidelines and protocols.
• Prepare the patient for the periodontal examination, ensuring they are in a comfortable position and have adequate access to their oral cavity.
• Hold the GDC Moon’s Probe P13M in a pen-like grip, with your thumb and index finger securing the instrument. The probe should be parallel to the long axis of the tooth being examined.
• Gently insert the probe into the gingival sulcus (the space between the gum and tooth) until resistance is felt. Use a light, controlled pressure to avoid causing discomfort to the patient.
• As you navigate along the tooth surface, gently slide the probe along the sulcus, exploring the depth of the pocket. Use a continuous, smooth motion to prevent any trauma to the gingival tissues.
• Observe the markings on the probe to measure the depth of the pocket. These markings indicate the millimeter increments and help determine the periodontal health status.
• Take note of any bleeding, recession, or abnormal findings while examining the periodontal tissues. Document your findings accurately for proper diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Rinse the GDC Moon’s Probe P13M with water or disinfectant after each use to remove debris or contamination. Follow the recommended cleaning and sterilization procedures.
