The GDC Buck Knife  (Kb3/4) is more commonly used for surgical procedures such as incisions, excisions, and other soft tissue manipulation. It’s important to note that the use of any dental instrument, including the GDC Buck Knife #6, should always be performed by a trained dental professional to ensure safety and effectiveness. It features a 420HC stainless steel blade with a length of 1.125 inches and a thickness of 0.020 inches. The blade has a partially serrated edge and a pointed tip, making it suitable for a variety of dental tasks.

Direction to use :- 

• Prepare the area: Before using the knife, ensure that the area to be treated is clean and dry. You may need to use other dental instruments to prepare the area, depending on the specific procedure.
• Hold the knife: Hold the knife securely in your hand, with your fingers wrapped around the handle and the blade pointing away from your body.
• Position the blade: Position the blade at the appropriate angle for the specific procedure you are performing. Be sure to use a light touch and avoid applying excessive force, as this can cause damage to surrounding tissues.
• Make the incision: Using a steady and controlled motion, make the incision or cut as needed for the specific procedure. Be sure to use the appropriate amount of pressure and avoid sawing or back-and-forth motions, which can cause tissue damage and make the procedure less effective.
• Clean and sterilize: After using the knife, be sure to clean and sterilize it thoroughly according to the manufacturer’s instructions. This will help to prevent the spread of infection and ensure the longevity of the instrument.
