GDC Composite Instruments Posterior BLACK Titanium Small/ Medium Contact TNPLGOT

• Rhomboid-shaped plugger for use with condensable composite material in posterior restorations.

The GDC Teflon Coated Composite Posterior Small/Medium Contact (Tnplgot) is a rhomboid-shaped plugger designed for condensing composite materials in posterior dental restorations. With its specialized shape and Teflon coating, this plugger facilitates precise manipulation and placement of composite materials, ensuring optimal adaptation and contouring in the posterior region of the mouth. The Teflon coating minimizes material adhesion, allowing for smoother and more controlled handling during the restoration process. This plugger is suitable for use with various condensable composite materials commonly used in posterior restorations, providing dental professionals with a versatile and reliable tool for achieving optimal aesthetic and functional outcomes. Its ergonomic design and durable construction make it an essential instrument in the dental armamentarium for posterior composite restorations, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness in clinical practice.

Direction to use :-

  • Preparation: Ensure the tooth to be restored is clean and dry, and the surrounding area is adequately isolated.
  • Material Placement: Dispense the condensable composite material onto the prepared tooth surface using a suitable placement instrument.
  • Condensation: Use the rhomboid-shaped plugger to gently condense the composite material into the prepared cavity, ensuring proper adaptation and contouring.
  • Incremental Layering: If necessary, apply composite material in incremental layers, condensing each layer before adding the next.
  • Sculpting and Shaping: Use other composite sculpting instruments as needed to shape and sculpt the restoration to achieve the desired anatomy and contour.
  • Light Curing: Once satisfied with the restoration, use a dental curing light to polymerize and set the composite material according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  • Finishing: After curing, finish and polish the restoration using appropriate finishing and polishing instruments for a smooth and aesthetic surface.
  • Post-Procedure Care: After use, thoroughly clean the instrument, and consider sterilization through autoclaving for reuse in subsequent procedures.
