Is used for minimizing damage to the alveolar bone as it helps cut the periodontal ligament to detach teeth from the periodontal ligament for implant immediately after tooth extraction or general tooth extraction.

Direction to use :-

• Preparation: Ensure that the patient is comfortably positioned in the dental chair, and the operative area is adequately prepared and anesthetized.
• Selection: Choose the appropriate GDC Periotome Flexi based on the tooth or teeth targeted for extraction. Consider the size and accessibility of the tooth.
• Insertion: Gently insert the periotome tip into the periodontal ligament space around the tooth, applying slight pressure. Use a rocking motion to ease the periotome between the tooth and the surrounding ligaments.
• Detachment: Gradually work the periotome around the entire circumference of the tooth, cutting the periodontal ligament. This helps to detach the tooth from the surrounding tissues with minimal trauma.
• Extraction: Once the ligament is sufficiently cut, proceed with the extraction using appropriate forceps or instruments. Exercise care to avoid unnecessary force, promoting atraumatic removal.
• Post-Extraction Care: Provide post-extraction instructions to the patient, including any necessary care guidelines and follow-up appointments.

Cautions:-
Periotomes FLEXI is used for cutting off only the periodontal ligament. Do NOT lift it up or twist with excessive force such as a ELEVATOR.
