The GDC Gingival Cord Packer Non-Serrated  (Gcp113n) is a specialized dental instrument designed for packing and placing retraction cords in the gingival sulcus during various dental procedures. It features a slender, non-serrated tip, making it ideal for precise and gentle cord placement. Direction to use :- 

• Preparation: Ensure that you have the necessary retraction cord ready, and that the patient’s mouth is adequately prepared for the procedure.
• Select the Appropriate Cord Size: Choose the appropriate size of the retraction cord based on the clinical need and the space available in the gingival sulcus.
• Isolate the Tooth: Use a dental dam or cotton rolls to isolate the tooth being worked on, keeping the area dry.
• Lubricate the Cord: It’s a good practice to lubricate the retraction cord with a water-based gel or astringent to aid in smooth insertion.
• Hold the Cord Packer: Grasp the GDC Gingival Cord Packer Non-Serrated #4 by the handle, ensuring a firm but gentle grip for precise control.
• Insert the Cord Packer: Carefully insert the non-serrated tip of the cord packer into the gingival sulcus, starting from the tooth to which you want to retract the tissue. Apply gentle pressure.
• Pack the Cord: With the cord packer in place, gently pack the retraction cord into the sulcus by pushing it along the cord packer’s tip. Make sure the cord is firmly but gently placed, creating the desired space.
• Check for Adequate Retraction: Verify that the cord is appropriately positioned, providing sufficient gingival retraction for the dental procedure.
• Continue as Needed: Depending on the case and the number of teeth involved, repeat the process for any additional teeth where retraction cords are required.
• Proceed with the Dental Procedure: Once the retraction cords are in place, proceed with the intended dental procedure, such as taking impressions for crowns or bridges.
• Sterilize the Cord Packer: After use, sterilize the instrument to maintain aseptic conditions for the next procedure, ensuring patient safety.
