The GDC Double End Probes Goldman Fox / William Probe (Pcpgf/W6) is a dental instrument designed for periodontal probing and measurements. It features a double-ended design with Goldman Fox and William probe tips, providing versatility for different clinical situations. The probe is made of high-quality stainless steel, ensuring durability and ease of sterilization. The Goldman Fox probe end is ideal for assessing pocket depths and detecting subgingival calculus, while the William probe end is useful for exploring furcation areas and assessing root irregularities. Goldman Fox Probe has markings mm1-2-3-5-7-8-9-10 and William Probe has markings mm1-2-3-5-7-8-9-10  inscribed onto the head of these instruments for accuracy and readability.

Direction to use :- 

• Ensure proper infection control measures by sterilizing the probe before each use according to standard protocols.
• Hold the probe with a firm but gentle grip, allowing for precise control during the examination.
• Begin by visually inspecting the probe to ensure it is clean and free of any debris or damage.
• Choose the appropriate end of the probe based on the specific area or condition you intend to assess.
• Position the probe tip at the desired location, such as the base of the tooth or the periodontal pocket.
• Gently insert the probe into the sulcus or pocket, applying light pressure to avoid causing discomfort or tissue damage.
• As you advance the probe, assess the depth of the pocket by noting the measurement markings on the probe shaft.
• Move the probe along the tooth surface, taking note of any irregularities, furcation areas, or deposits.
• Use the Goldman Fox end for assessing pocket depths and detecting subgingival calculus, and the William probe end for exploring furcation areas and assessing root irregularities.
• Document the measurements and findings accurately in the patient’s record for future reference and treatment planning.
• After use, thoroughly clean and sterilize the probe again before storing it in a designated, clean area.
