The GDC Matrix Retainer Ivory (Mri) is a dental instrument used in restorative dentistry procedures to provide support and stability while placing dental matrices. It is a versatile and essential tool that aids in creating well-contoured and accurate dental restorations. The Matrix Retainer Ivory (Mri) is made from high-quality materials and is designed to ensure precise and reliable performance during dental procedures.

Matrix Retainer Ivory  is the most famous Ivory – model and is very practical to use for fillings of the teeth for the lower jaw, in which a Matrix is required.

Direction to use :-

• Prepare the Tooth: Ensure that the tooth to be restored is clean and free of any debris or plaque. Properly isolate the tooth using a dental dam or other appropriate methods.
• Select the Matrix Band: Choose the appropriate matrix band that matches the size and shape of the tooth cavity. Ensure that the matrix band fits snugly around the tooth without any gaps.
• Position the Matrix Retainer: Insert the Matrix Retainer Ivory (Mri) into the matrix band’s slot or hole, making sure it securely holds the matrix in place. The retainer should sit firmly against the tooth’s surface.
• Adjust the Matrix: Adjust the matrix to the desired shape and contour, ensuring it closely follows the tooth’s anatomy. Use matrix forceps or other suitable instruments to shape the matrix band as needed.
• Place Dental Filling Material: Proceed with placing the dental filling material, such as composite resin or amalgam, into the prepared cavity. Ensure that the material is adequately condensed and adapted to the tooth structure.
• Remove Matrix Retainer: Once the filling material has sufficiently set, carefully remove the Matrix Retainer Ivory (Mri) from the matrix band, taking care not to disturb the restoration.
• Finish and Polish: After removing the matrix, proceed with finishing and polishing the restoration to achieve a smooth and natural-looking surface.
• Check Occlusion: Verify the occlusion and ensure the restoration does not interfere with the patient’s bite. Make any necessary adjustments for a comfortable and functional bite.
• Post-Operative Instructions: Provide the patient with appropriate post-operative instructions for care and maintenance of the restoration.
• Sterilization: Before and after each use, sterilize the Matrix Retainer Ivory (Mri) according to standard infection control protocols to prevent cross-contamination.
