GDC Langer Curette 3/4 For Maxillary Posterior Premium Handle SL3/4
The GDC Langer Curettes 1/2 For Mandibular Posterior (Sl3/4) are dental instruments designed for use in the mandibular posterior region. They are specifically designed to remove plaque, calculus, and debris from the surfaces of the teeth in this area. The curettes have a unique shape and curvature that allows for easy access and effective cleaning in the challenging-to-reach areas of the lower posterior teeth. These curettes are made from high-quality stainless steel, ensuring durability and resistance to corrosion. The ergonomic handle provides a comfortable grip and precise control during dental procedures. All Langer curette have 90 degree angle between the terminal shank and blade face for adaptation on both mesial and distal surface without changing instruments.Shank angulation is ideal for difficult to reach areas. The working end of the curettes features sharp cutting edges on both sides, making them suitable for both left and right-handed clinicians.
Indications:
- Designed for the removal of moderate to heavy calculus from all supra- and subgingival tooth surfaces.
Direction to use :-
- Preparation: Ensure proper patient positioning and provide adequate illumination for clear visibility of the treatment area.
- Patient Examination: Conduct a thorough examination of the patient’s oral condition, including assessing the presence of plaque, calculus, and any other dental issues.
- Anesthesia: If necessary, administer local anesthesia to ensure patient comfort during the procedure.
- Selection of Curette: Choose the appropriate GDC Langer Curette (#6) based on the specific tooth surface to be treated. The #6 curette is designed for use on mandibular posterior teeth.
- Grasp the Curette: Hold the curette in a modified pen grasp, with the handle between the thumb and index finger, resting lightly against the middle finger for stability.
- Working Technique: Position the curette at the desired angle, ensuring the cutting edges are in contact with the tooth surface. Use a gentle, controlled, and overlapping stroke to remove plaque and calculus from the tooth.
- Instrument Stroke: Use both pulling and pushing strokes along the entire surface of the tooth, including the mesial, distal, and occlusal aspects.
- Adaptation and Angulation: Maintain proper adaptation and angulation of the curette against the tooth surface for effective scaling. The curette’s unique design allows access to hard-to-reach areas.
- Rinse and Evaluate: Periodically rinse the treatment area to remove debris and assess the progress of plaque and calculus removal.
- Post-Treatment: After completing the scaling procedure, provide post-operative instructions to the patient, including oral hygiene tips and any necessary follow-up appointments.
- Sterilization: Thoroughly clean and sterilize the curettes following the guidelines before and after each use to prevent cross-contamination.
