GDC Atraumatic Lower Root Extraction Forceps AFX74N
The GDC Extraction Forceps Lower Roots – 74n Atraumatic (Afx74n) are dental instruments designed for the atraumatic extraction of lower root teeth. These forceps are specifically crafted to minimize trauma to the surrounding tissues and ensure a gentle extraction process. The forceps feature a curved beak design that securely grips the root of the tooth, providing a stable hold during the extraction. The Afx74n forceps are made of high-quality stainless steel, ensuring durability, corrosion resistance, and longevity. The ergonomic handles are designed for a comfortable and precise grip, reducing hand fatigue and allowing for better control during the extraction procedure
Direction to use :-
- Prepare the patient: Ensure that the patient is comfortably positioned in the dental chair and that the necessary anesthesia has been administered to numb the area.
- Select the appropriate forceps: Confirm that the Afx74n forceps are the correct instrument for the specific tooth and root to be extracted. Ensure that the forceps are clean and in good working condition.
- Grasp the forceps: Hold the forceps in your dominant hand, ensuring a firm and comfortable grip. Position your fingers on the handles for better control and stability.
- Approach the tooth: Position the beaks of the forceps around the root of the tooth to be extracted. Ensure that the beaks are securely gripping the root without exerting excessive pressure.
- Apply controlled pressure: Using a slow and steady motion, apply controlled pressure to the root, gently rocking the forceps back and forth. This motion helps to loosen the tooth from its socket.
- Maintain stability: Keep the forceps firmly in place while applying pressure, making sure to maintain stability and avoid unnecessary movement.
- Extract the tooth: Once the tooth is sufficiently loosened, use a controlled and steady force to lift the tooth out of its socket. Be cautious not to use excessive force, as it may cause damage to the surrounding tissues.
- Inspect and clean: After the extraction, inspect the extracted tooth and the extraction site to ensure that no fragments are left behind. Clean the area and provide necessary post-extraction care instructions to the patient.
