GDC Lower Root No.33A Extraction Forceps

Used for dental extraction (also referred to as tooth extraction, exodontia or exodontics): the removal of teeth from the dental alveolus (socket) in the alveolar bone. It is a specialized dental instrument designed for the extraction of lower roots during dental procedures. Manufactured by GDC, a reputable dental product company, these forceps feature a unique 33A angled tip, specifically tailored for effective access and control during the extraction of mandibular molars or root stumps. Crafted from high-quality stainless steel, the forceps ensure durability, strength, and resistance to corrosion. With a reusable design, they can undergo proper sterilization for multiple applications. The non-sterile nature requires pre-procedural sterilization. Notably, these forceps are latex-free, ensuring a safe environment for individuals with latex allergies. The beaks of the forceps are intricately designed to securely grip lower roots, providing a firm hold for precise and efficient extractions. Overall, the GDC Extraction Forceps Lower Roots – 33A  exemplify a reliable, durable, and latex-free tool for the challenging task of extracting lower roots in dental surgeries.

Direction to use :-

  • Prepare the patient: Ensure that the patient is properly positioned and comfortably seated. Administer local anesthesia to numb the area around the tooth to be extracted.
  • Select the appropriate forceps: Verify that you have the correct forceps for the lower root extraction. In this case, it is the GDC Extraction Forceps Lower Roots – 33A Standard (FX33AS).
  • Hold the forceps: Grasp the forceps in your dominant hand, ensuring a firm and comfortable grip on the handles. The beaks of the forceps should be facing toward the root to be extracted.
  • Position the forceps: Carefully position the beaks of the forceps around the root of the tooth to be extracted. Ensure that the beaks securely grip the root for a firm hold.
  • Apply controlled pressure: Apply controlled pressure to the forceps handles to initiate the extraction. Use a rocking motion to gently loosen the root from its socket. Take care not to use excessive force to avoid unnecessary trauma to surrounding tissues.
  • Rotate the forceps if necessary: Depending on the position and alignment of the root, you may need to rotate the forceps slightly to gain better access and facilitate the extraction process.
  • Remove the root: Once the root is sufficiently loosened, gently lift and remove it from the socket using the forceps. Maintain a steady grip and ensure the root is completely extracted.
  • Inspect and clean the extraction site: After the extraction, inspect the socket to ensure that no root fragments or debris are left behind. Clean the area if necessary and provide post-extraction care instructions to the patient.

Warranty :- 6 months against rust
