GDC Lower Root No.33 Extraction Forceps is used for dental extraction (also referred to as tooth extraction, exodontia or exodontics): the removal of teeth from the dental alveolus (socket) in the alveolar bone. The GDC Extraction Forceps Lower Roots – 33 FX33 are dental instruments designed for the extraction of lower roots during dental procedures. These forceps feature a curved design and specific beak configuration to provide a secure grip on lower roots. Made of high-quality stainless steel, they are durable, strong, and resistant to corrosion. The precision tips of the forceps are shaped to fit around the root structure, allowing for atraumatic extractions that minimize trauma to surrounding tissues. The ergonomic handles offer a comfortable and non-slip grip, ensuring optimal control and maneuverability

Direction to use :-

  • Prepare the patient: Ensure the patient is comfortably positioned in the dental chair. Administer local anesthesia to numb the area around the tooth to be extracted.
  • Select the appropriate forceps: Verify that you have the GDC Extraction Forceps Lower Roots – 33 Standard (FX33S) instrument ready for use. Inspect the forceps to ensure they are clean, sterile, and in good working condition.
  • Grip the forceps: Hold the forceps in your dominant hand, ensuring a firm and comfortable grip. Familiarize yourself with the instrument’s handles and beaks before proceeding.
  • Position the forceps: Carefully position the beaks of the forceps around the lower root to be extracted. Ensure that the beaks are firmly gripping the root for a secure hold.
  • Apply controlled pressure: With the beaks properly positioned around the root, apply controlled pressure using the forceps. Gradually increase the pressure while maintaining a firm grip to loosen the root from its socket. Use gentle rocking or rotational movements if necessary.
  • Lift and remove the root: Once the root is sufficiently loosened, exert a gentle pulling motion with the forceps to lift and remove the root from the socket. Take care not to apply excessive force to minimize trauma to surrounding tissues.
  • Clean and sterilize the forceps: After use, thoroughly clean the forceps using appropriate disinfection or sterilization methods. Follow the manufacturer’s guidelines for cleaning and sterilization procedures.
