The GDC Luxatip – Dual Edge 5mm + 3mm (DE5) is a versatile dental instrument designed for atraumatic tooth extraction procedures. Direction to use :-

• Patient Assessment: Begin by assessing the patient’s dental condition, including the tooth’s size, position, and any potential complications.
• Instrument Preparation: Ensure that the DE5 Luxatip is clean and properly sterilized according to standard dental clinic protocols.
• Anesthesia: Administer local anesthesia to numb the area around the tooth to be extracted, ensuring a painless procedure.
• Grip and Placement: Hold the DE5 Luxatip with the ergonomic handle, ensuring a comfortable and secure grip. Position the appropriate edge (5mm or 3mm) against the tooth’s surface.
• Atraumatic Extraction: Apply controlled force to gently luxate the tooth from its socket. The dual-edge design allows you to adapt to the tooth’s size and position for an atraumatic extraction.
• Monitor Progress: Continuously monitor the tooth’s mobility, adjusting the instrument’s position as needed to facilitate a smooth extraction.
• Extraction Completion: Once the tooth is adequately mobilized, use suitable forceps to remove the tooth from the socket.
• Sterilization: After use, thoroughly clean the DE5 Luxatip and sterilize it according to standard dental clinic protocols to ensure its safe and aseptic usage in subsequent procedures.
