The GDC Luxatip – 5mm Straight (L5s) is a specialized dental instrument designed for precise and atraumatic tooth luxation and extraction. With its straight 5mm tip, it provides access to tooth roots, making it particularly useful in cases where minimal bone removal during extraction is desired. • Tips are more finely tapered than elevators tips.
• Combination of a Periotome and an elevator.
• The sharp tip enables more efficient cutting of the periodontal ligament, while the tapering shaft assists with controlled expansion of the bony socket.
• The extraction operation may be performed with the minimum amount of tissue damage.

Direction to use :- 

• Instrument Preparation: Ensure that the Luxatip is properly cleaned and sterilized according to the dental clinic’s sterilization procedures.
• Patient Assessment: Evaluate the patient’s dental condition, including tooth mobility, position, and the necessity for extraction.
• Local Anesthesia: Administer local anesthesia to numb the area around the tooth to be extracted, ensuring a pain-free procedure.
• Access and Visibility: Use dental mirrors and retractors to gain clear access and visibility of the tooth and the surrounding area.
• Tooth Loosening: Gently insert the straight 5mm tip of the Luxatip between the tooth and the surrounding bone. Apply controlled force to gently loosen the tooth from its socket.
• Extraction: Gradually increase the applied force to lift and extract the tooth gently without damaging the surrounding structures.
• Post-Extraction Care: Provide post-extraction instructions and any necessary treatments to the patient to promote proper healing.
• Cleaning and Sterilization: After use, clean the Luxatip thoroughly and follow dental clinic sterilization protocols to prepare it for the next procedure.
