GDC Optical Orthodontic Plier
Orthodontic pliers can be used for a variety of specific tasks, including archwire work like loop forming and contouring, as well as torqueing and placing stops in the archwire. They’re designed to fit in the mouth for easy orthodontic appliance adjustment, and give clinicians more control during placement and removal. Orthodontic pliers are made of high-grade stainless steel for durability and corrosion resistance. Optical Plier is an orthodontic instrument used to create Helical Closing Loops in archwires in thickness. It could also be used to make minor adjustments to Arch Wires. Excellent for forming helical closing loops and arch adjustments on wires up to .022″ x .025″ (.56 mm x .64 mm).Used to bend metal strips or wire used in orthodontic work. Concave/convex loop forming plier, small-medium.
Direction to use :-
- Prepare the patient: Ensure that the patient is comfortably seated and properly positioned for the orthodontic procedure.
- Select the appropriate archwire: Choose the archwire that matches the desired thickness and material for the specific treatment phase.
- Prepare the plier: Ensure that the GDC Optical Plier is clean and in good working condition. Check for any damage or wear that may affect its functionality.
- Position the archwire: Insert the archwire into the brackets or orthodontic attachments on the patient’s teeth, following the treatment plan.
- Locate the desired location for the helical closing loop: Identify the specific area along the archwire where you want to create the helical closing loop.
- Position the plier: Hold the GDC Optical Plier with a firm grip, aligning the jaws of the plier with the targeted area on the archwire.
- Create the helical closing loop: Apply controlled pressure and rotate the plier in a circular motion around the archwire. This action will create a helical closing loop by twisting the wire upon itself.
- Inspect and adjust as necessary: After creating the helical closing loop, carefully examine the loop to ensure its integrity and proper positioning. Make any minor adjustments if needed to achieve the desired outcome.
- Repeat if necessary: If additional helical closing loops are required in other areas along the archwire, repeat steps 5 to 8 accordingly.
Warranty :- 6 months against rust
