It is a useful and essential tool for dental labs and jewellers who work with wax, as well as for watch and clock makers for softening shellac, bluing screws and tempering steel.

Direction to use:- 

• Fill the spirit lamp container with suitable alcohol fuel, such as denatured alcohol or ethanol, taking care not to overfill it.
• Place the wick inside the spirit lamp container, ensuring that it is fully immersed in the alcohol fuel. The wick should absorb the fuel and be ready for ignition.
• Light the wick using a suitable flame source, such as a match or a lighter. Hold the flame near the wick until it catches fire. Make sure to hold the spirit lamp securely during this process.
• Adjust the intensity of the flame by controlling the airflow. For a larger flame, leave the air holes of the spirit lamp open. For a smaller flame, partially close the air holes to restrict the airflow.
• Once the flame is lit, the spirit lamp is ready for use. Place it on the spirit lamp stand or a stable, heat-resistant surface to ensure stability during the procedure.
• During use, exercise caution to prevent accidental contact with the flame. Keep flammable materials away from the flame and ensure a safe working environment.
• When you are finished using the spirit lamp, extinguish the flame by placing the snuffer cap over the wick. The snuffer cap should fit securely to smother the flame and prevent any residual combustion.
• Allow the spirit lamp to cool down before handling or refilling it with alcohol fuel. Ensure proper ventilation when refilling the spirit lamp to prevent the accumulation of alcohol vapors.
• Clean and maintain the spirit lamp and its accessories regularly to remove any residue or buildup. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for cleaning and maintenance procedures.
• Always follow appropriate safety precautions when using the spirit lamp, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment, working in a well-ventilated area, and keeping a fire extinguisher or suitable fire-safety equipment nearby.
