GDC Upper Roots No.44 Extraction Forceps  are specialized dental instruments designed for extracting upper roots during dental procedures. Crafted from high-quality stainless steel, these forceps ensure durability and corrosion resistance. The forceps feature a precision design with curved beaks, allowing for optimal access and control during extractions. The number “44 Standard” likely refers to the model or size designation, providing dental professionals with a standardized tool for a wide range of upper root shapes and sizes. The inclusion of the “FX44S” identifier may serve as a product code or specific designation within the GDC product line. These forceps are intended to offer dental practitioners a reliable and effective instrument for precise and efficient upper root extractions, contributing to successful dental procedures.

Direction to use :-

  • Prepare the patient: Ensure the patient is comfortably seated in the dental chair and properly positioned for the extraction procedure. Administer local anesthesia to numb the area surrounding the tooth and the root is extracted.
  • Select the forceps: Choose the GDC Extraction Forceps Upper Roots – 44 Standard (FX44S) specifically designed for upper roots. Inspect the forceps for any damage or defects before use.
  • Grasp the forceps: Hold the forceps in your dominant hand with a firm but comfortable grip. Ensure that the beaks of the forceps are aligned with the root to be extracted.
  • Position the forceps: Carefully position the beaks of the forceps around the upper root, ensuring a secure grip. The beaks should encircle the root firmly, but avoid excessive pressure that could cause damage.
  • Apply controlled force: Gradually apply controlled pressure on the root by squeezing the handles of the forceps. The force should be directed towards the root, using a rocking motion if necessary to loosen it from the surrounding tissues.
  • Rotate if needed: Depending on the position and orientation of the root, it may be necessary to rotate the forceps gently to facilitate the extraction. Use caution to prevent damage to surrounding structures.
  • Extract the root: Once the root is sufficiently loosened, exert a steady and controlled force to lift and remove it from the socket. Ensure a firm grip on the root to avoid accidental displacement.
  • Inspect and clean: Examine the extracted root to ensure it is intact and free from any fragments. If necessary, clean the extraction site using appropriate irrigating solutions.
  • Provide post-extraction care: Provide the patient with post-extraction instructions, including guidelines for oral hygiene and potential discomfort management. Schedule a follow-up appointment as needed to monitor the healing process.
