GDC Cross Bar Winter Cryer Left Root Elevator

The GDC Winter Cryer Root Elevator – Left Standard (Ewc12l) is a precision dental instrument engineered to facilitate tooth extractions and the removal of retained roots. Specifically designed for left-handed practitioners, this instrument features a unique curved design with a sharp-edged tip, optimized for efficient and controlled tissue manipulation. Inserting the elevator between the gums and the exterior of the tooth, it serves as a lever, gently loosening the surrounding tissues. This process is critical in preparing the tooth or root for extraction, ensuring minimal trauma and discomfort to the patient. Crafted from high-quality materials, the Ewc12l is a durable and indispensable tool for dental professionals, guaranteeing safe and effective procedures in challenging extractions.

Direction to use :-

  • Preparation: Ensure that the instrument is properly sterilized before use to maintain aseptic conditions.
  • Patient Positioning: Position the patient in the dental chair so that you have easy access to the tooth to be extracted.
  • Anesthesia: Administer local anesthesia to numb the tooth and surrounding tissues to ensure the patient’s comfort during the procedure.
  • Exposure: Use a mouth mirror and other instruments to create clear visibility and access to the tooth.
  • Elevation: Hold the Winter Cryer Root Elevator in your dominant hand. Insert the curved, left-sided tip of the instrument between the tooth and the surrounding gum tissue.
  • Leverage: Apply controlled, upward, and outward pressure to elevate and loosen the tooth from its socket. The left-sided tip is designed for teeth on the patient’s left side.
  • Extraction: Once the tooth is adequately elevated, use suitable extraction forceps to grasp and remove it gently.
  • Monitoring: Continue to monitor the patient’s comfort and provide additional anesthesia or support as necessary.
  • Post-Procedure: After tooth extraction, provide postoperative instructions to the patient, including care for the extraction site and pain management.
  • Sterilization: After use, thoroughly clean and sterilize the instrument according to dental practice sterilization protocols for reuse.
