The GDC Micro Ligature Cutter (3000/110) is a dental instrument designed for precision and accuracy in cutting orthodontic ligatures and wires. Direction to use :- 

• Preparation: Ensure that the Micro Ligature Cutter is properly cleaned and sterilized before use, following your dental practice’s infection control protocols. Position the patient comfortably in the dental chair and ensure good visibility of the area where you will be cutting the ligature or wire.
• Isolate the Area: Use dental mirrors, cheek retractors, or other appropriate instruments to isolate and expose the ligature or wire that needs to be cut. Ensure that the area is dry and free from saliva for better visibility and accuracy.
• Positioning: Hold the GDC Micro Ligature Cutter by its handle with a firm but controlled grip. Position the fine-pointed tip of the cutter precisely at the location where you intend to make the cut. Ensure that the cutting edges are in contact with the ligature or wire.
• Applying Gentle Pressure: Apply gentle and controlled pressure on the handle of the Micro Ligature Cutter to initiate the cut. The sharp cutting edges of the instrument will cut through the ligature or wire.
• Precision Cutting: Continue to apply pressure smoothly and steadily to ensure a clean and accurate cut. Make sure that the cut is complete and that no sharp edges are left behind.
• Inspection: After making the cut, visually inspect the area to confirm that the ligature or wire has been cut as intended. Ensure that there are no loose ends or protrusions.
• Dispose or Recycle: Dispose of the cut ligature or wire according to your dental practice’s infection control and waste disposal guidelines. Some orthodontic materials may be recyclable.
• Cleaning and Maintenance: After use, clean the GDC Micro Ligature Cutter following your dental practice’s cleaning protocols. Ensure that it is properly sterilized and stored in a clean and sterile environment for future use.
