Direction to use :- 

• Prepare the Patient: Ensure the patient is comfortable and positioned appropriately for the examination.
• Inspect the Probe: Verify that the UNC Probe is clean and in good condition before use. Sterilize the probe if necessary.
• Gently Insert the Probe: Insert the blunted tip of the UNC Probe into the periodontal pocket, reaching the base. Be gentle to avoid causing any discomfort to the patient.
• Measure Pocket Depth: Use the markings on the head of the instrument to determine the depth of the periodontal pocket. Read the measurement corresponding to the point where the probe reaches the base of the pocket.
• Record Measurements: Record the measurements obtained for each tooth, noting any variations or areas of concern.
• Repeat as Necessary: Repeat the process for different areas of the mouth, ensuring a thorough examination of all teeth.
• Sterilization: After use, thoroughly clean and sterilize the probe following proper infection control protocols.
